What a tournament this turned out to be. Our first game on Saturday was a bit of a reality check as the Red River team spent most of the game in our end. The other team had a pretty impressive passing game and big players. Our second game was a bit better, mind you, our players were, obviously, tired from the first game in the morning. As for our late Sunday morning game, a totally new East End Wings turned out. Most of the game was spent in the Red River team's end. We witnessed some beautiful goals and outstanding saves. I don't think our team has skated that hard all year! Excellent! Thanks to all who attended to make this tournament not only fun for the players but enjoyable for the fans too.

The Timbits Jamboree schedule came out on Feb 18th. Lucky us, we'll be playing the very first game! The players will receive medals from Timbits reps on the ice after the game as well as Timbits and other little surprises in the changeroom immediately after their game. This game will be played at Gateway Arena, 1717 Gateway Road. Should be fun!

Game: 15

I hope that everyone had enjoyed a happy and healthy holiday. It's been a while since my last post only due to family issues which has kept me from attending our practices and games. Needless to say, I'm back at it and thank you for your patience. This past Saturday's game was entertaining to say the least. Our little ones must've been all hocked up on sugar or something. Nobody quite knew where to stand during faceoffs and at times were more concerned with their Parents up in the stands. Ah...the joys of Timbits Hockey.
This weeks story is once again about "the Twins". As the play was in our opponents zone, I heard the ringing of the goal post in our end of the rink. I looked to see Jordin hammering his blue straight bladed stick again the net. I quickly skated down to him to tell him "Don't do that...you're gonna break your stick, dude." As I skated away, I heard the ringing again. "Dude! You're gonna break your stick!" And while I was standing there, Jordin threw one more swift swing and the stick broke in two. So I took the shaft, put up top on the net and handed him his blade. "Guess you'll have to play on your knees now, pal" In the end, he used Coache's stick until the back up arrived.
Fun Times!

Jordin, Drew, Jordin, Drew...I still can't tell them apart yet, regardless, one of the funniest plays of this past Saturday's game would be the multiple bathroom breaks that one of the Boucher twins had to take during the game. Poor Greg had to meet me at the gate twice to take the fluid overdosed player to the washroom. The little East End Winger was in goal and just skated off to the boards to get his Dad's attention...very funny! I wonder if CCM makes catheters? Congratulations to Caiden Robb who scored an outstanding 8 goals...I know, I know, he's my son but 8 goals can't go without being mentioned. And yes, I did holler at him a few times to "PASS THE PUCK!!"

NOTE FROM FRANCINE
Hello everyone,
Hope your week is going well. Brad Little contacted me yesterday to let me know that they will be at our practice friday evening (Nov.7) to collect our TMHA fees. Our total bill for the team is $1450.00, which makes us responsible for approx.$112.00 each/player. Please bring your checkbooks, they are flexible on the dates, you can postdate your checks if that is more convenient for you.
Also, I contacted Action Apparel to get the price on the touques that we had discussed a while back. The cost per touque is only $9.60 each. I will bring one on friday to show in case some of you were not there the last time. They are black, have the team logo on the front and the player # on the back. Let me know if you are interested as I would like to place the order next week, if possible. They take approx. 2 weeks to get. I believe the other 6 and under team is going to order with us too.
So, bring your checkbooks, but remember, you can postdate or split up the payment if you wish. They just need to have a check/checks on friday.
If you have any questions, feel free to give me a call 282-2865.
Thanks ,
Francine

In case you missed the email sent out by Francine, our team will be having their photos taken on Friday, November 21st. Please do your best to be early or on time for that Friday's practice. Payment will be needed that day as well. You can download a copy of the order form here or from the Schedule & Events page.

What's this? Two games in two days? I suppose it just follows suit with all the other "twos" named in game ones post. Our team was a little more organized today. The players were able to get into position for the face-off a bit quicker and followed the puck a bit more closely than in game one. Our goalies did very well making some key saves late in the game. The tag-team of Carter and
Matthieu is really turning out to be a force to be reckoned with. Good job guys.

Our first game of the season turned out to be a bit of a learning curve. We are all adjusting to the new setup, two teams in one dressing room, two teams on one players bench and two games being play simultaneously. With that being said, the Wings played a good first game. A few too many bumps and hits but as the season goes on the players will progress and will hit each other less. Good game team!
